About Lynne Poirier, LL.B., Q.Med., C. Arb
After graduating law school in New Brunswick in 1997, Lynne practised law as in-house counsel with Nova Scotia Power Inc. (Halifax), Livingston International Inc. (Toronto), and the Royal Canadian Mint (Ottawa). Her work in private practice includes the Ottawa boutique labour and employment firm of Emond Harnden LLP, and Ogilvy Renault LLP (now Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP).
Lynne is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada (1999), the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society (2011), as well as the ADR (Alternate Dispute Resolution) Institute of Canada Inc. and the ADR Atlantic Institute. Lynne holds professional designations as Qualified Mediator and Chartered Arbitrator from the ADR Institute of Canada. She is currently a part-time Vice-Chairperson for the Nova Scotia Labour Board and the Canada Industrial Relations Board.
